The Role: Team Lead - Production QMS
As a Team Lead - Production QMS at Dr. Reddy's, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) for production operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold the highest standards of quality in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
QMS Development and Implementation: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) for production operations, including SOPs, work instructions, batch records, and documentation systems.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and international standards, by conducting internal audits, facilitating inspections, and addressing audit findings and observations.
Quality Assurance Support: Provide leadership and support to production teams in the execution of quality assurance activities, including deviation management, change control, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and risk assessment, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs on QMS requirements, quality standards, and best practices to production staff, ensuring competency and adherence to quality procedures and regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, efficiency enhancement, and waste reduction, to drive operational excellence and improve product quality and reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to align QMS processes and systems and support the successful execution of production operations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of cGMP regulations, FDA requirements, and international quality standards applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing, with experience in regulatory inspections and audits.
Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive change, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
