Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager - Product Evaluation at CEAT, you will be responsible for evaluating the performance and quality of tires through rigorous testing and analysis. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians to conduct tests, analyze data, and provide insights to support product development and quality improvement initiatives. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that CEAT tires meet or exceed performance standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute product evaluation tests to assess the performance and quality of CEAT tires across various conditions and applications.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure testing activities are conducted accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop test protocols, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency, repeatability, and reliability of test results.
  • Analyze test data, including performance metrics, durability, and reliability, to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, engineering, and quality assurance, to provide insights and recommendations for product development and improvement.
  • Investigate customer complaints and warranty claims related to tire performance and quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to tire testing and evaluation.
  • Prepare and present test reports, findings, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) preferred.
  • Proven experience in product evaluation, testing, or quality assurance, with a minimum of [number] years of experience in a similar role within the automotive or tire industry.
